"PinVid" – a modern take on an America classic. This interactive pinball machine simulator uses projection mapping to wrap a custom pinball cabinet in vivid animation and imagery. While Player One uses the traditional arcade buttons on the cabinet to play pinball, Player Two uses a separate MIDI control panel to manipulate the aesthetics and function of the game along with its surrounding environment.
This is not your father's pinball machine!
• The pinball cabinet was constructed in 1:1 scale using plywood, aluminum, and foam core.
• The MIDI control panel was created using reclaimed 16mm Steenbeck knobs and an Arduino Pro Micro
• The project used MadMapper to syphon a pinball video game from Unity game engine.
