This is a custom prop torch built for a stage play. Due to the constraints of not being able to use fire on stage, I built a custom 3D printed LED torch that this production could safely substitute for the real thing. Using a pair of 18650 lithium battery cells, a BMS board, and an Arduino Pro Micro to drive a string of LEDs, a fire effect was able to be achieved. Parts of the prop were modeled in Fusion 360 and printed using my Ender 5, while the main handle is comprised of a hardware store 3/4 inch PVC pipe.
